This page says what we collect when you use rootnsky.com, why, and who else sees it. It is written by Root & Sky, who is responsible for your data.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, mobile number, email, delivery address and pincode, what you bought, and any note you leave for the rider. If you ask for a GST invoice, your GSTIN and business name.
  • When you ask for a quotation or a bulk order: the details you type into the form.
  • When you browse: your cart, delivery pincode and delivery city, saved in your own browser, and standard server logs. The city is shared with the rest of rootnsky.com so both remember it.
  • Optional analytics: if you allow it in the cookie banner, Google Analytics records page visits and general device and location information. It stays off until you choose to allow it.

What we use it for

  • Delivering your order and messaging you about it on WhatsApp, SMS or email.
  • Issuing receipts and tax invoices, which we are required to keep.
  • Answering your questions and replacing plants under our guarantee.
  • Understanding which plants sell so we stock the right ones.

Who else sees it

  • Razorpay or your UPI app processes your payment. We never see your card or UPI PIN; we receive only a payment reference.
  • WhatsApp carries the messages you choose to send us about your order.
  • Our delivery riders see your name, address, phone number and the note you left.
  • Supabase hosts our database, on servers in Mumbai, India. Vercel hosts the website.
  • Messaging providers we use to send delivery updates see your phone number or email and the message.

We do not sell your details and we do not share them with anyone for advertising.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires. Quotation and enquiry details are kept for a year. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.
